Have you wondered how an artist comes to have her first solo exhibition when she’s 75? I will try to answer that question of me and my choices as I journey into the simplicity of old age in an artist talk on October 14 from 1:30 to 3 pm in the Mirella Cimato Gallery. I will converse about how I learned my art, my photography work process, the concept behind Breath Taking: Sheltering In Our Garden and forces that influence me. The discussion will take place in the Mirella Cimato Gallery from 1:30 - 3pm. I’d love to have you join me.
The Mirella Cimato Gallery is now open Monday thru Friday from 1 until 5 pm to visit my show Breath Taking: Sheltering In Our Garden. The next opportunity to see it during the evening will be on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 5 until 9 pm. For the first time, the St. Petersburg Opera Company will offer songs to piano accompaniment during the artist reception. Their recital will be from 6 until 6:30 pm.
The show opened last night to a wonderfully supportive crowd. Masked and safely distanced, people seemed to enjoy the art on the walls and displayed on the table in the ikebana arrangements created by Ichiyo Master, Jeanne Houlton. The show runs through October. The gallery is open Monday - Friday from 1 till 5. Stay tune for an artist talk. A second evening reception will be held Saturday, October 9 from 5 until 8.
