Axis Mundi/Sacred Center

Axis Mundi is a photographic exhibition showcasing the visions of eight artists who interpret the intersection of heaven and earth through their unique lenses. Rather than mirror the physical environment, these artists embellish, romanticize, and amplify it, transforming reality into personal expressions. Their images serve as portals, concealed passages to otherworldly dimensions, narrating tales of awe and wonder. Viewers are invited to transcend the material world and explore the extraordinary realms that lie beyond. Please enjoy our work and hear our gallery talk.

Artist’s Talk

Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11:30 I will be speaking in the Five Deuces Galleria about my work. Blue, Always for Water, is being shown this month as a featured part of the Nature’s Beauty exhibition in the galleria. In meeting visitors to the exhibition, I’ve learned there is much interest in my photographic and presentation process. Join us for an hour on Saturday and I’ll be delighted to answer your questions and give you a behind the scenes look at what I do.

Mirage finds a home!

The lovely Mirage printed on gold brushed aluminum was the first work in “Blue, Always For Water” to be purchased and carried away from the Five Deuces Galleria during Art Walk last night. Mirage is an illusion of reflected beauty along the Chassahowitzka River bank. Once crystal clear, the now murky green water slows and blurs the vegetation it mirrors. The dreamscape calls on us to rediscover and revaluate what we have done and what we must do to preserve what is left in the Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge. The unique aluminum piece is now gone; but prints of Mirage are still available in editions of 10. The exhibition runs until the end of May.
