Lo Sagrado Femenino is now open to public viewing Monday thru Friday from 10am to 5 pm in the Main Gallery of the Nielsen Center for the Visual Arts at Eckerd College in Saint Petersburg, Florida. It closes on December 15, 2023.

Two artist talks are also currently scheduled:

Studio Arts: Friday, November 17, 2023 at 1:30 in the main gallery of the Nielsen Center. Donna Oglesby will share her process for creating the images displayed in the exhibition, Lo Sagrado Femenino . She will discuss: non-representational photography, composition in camera, the software she uses to composite and process her images in post, what it is like to collaborate with models, and hand finishing techniques like gold leafing, and finally, how she thought about presenting the work in exhibition. This is the session to find the answers to the question: “how’d she do that?” 

 Imagine The Arts: Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 1:30 in the main gallery of the Nielsen Center. Donna Oglesby will share her inspiration for Lo Sagrado Femenino. How did the idea for this body of work arise? What is her intention for creating and sharing the work? How does it flow from the work created by female photographers before her as well as contemporaneously? What might be the higher purpose for the expression of this particular message on the feminine at this time? This is the session to find answers to the question: “What’s it all mean?” 

Join me in celebrating the opening of my new solo exhibition on Sunday, November 12 from 4PM to 6 PM in the Main Gallery of the Nielsen Center For the Arts at Eckerd College. The exhibit will be open until December 15,2023.
