This is the week!

This is the week!  Saturday, September 11, 2021, my solo exhibition opens at the Mirella Cimato Gallery, St. Petersburg Opera. I’d love to have you join us at the artist reception from 5 to 8 p.m.

During the first hour, Jeanne Houlton, a master in the Ichiyo School of Ikebana, will interpret the emotional and seasonal journey of my visual and verbal haiku by demonstrating her mastery of the companion Japanese art of flower arranging.

The St. Petersburg Opera asks that all visitors wear masks. The gallery is large with high ceilings and good ventilation. All my images were made while I was sheltering in our garden. So, we will do our best to create a safe green space for you to enjoy — and I hope be refreshed by — my photography.
If you would feel more comfortable visiting the exhibition singly or in small groups after it opens, the gallery will be open weekday afternoons from one to five through October. There will be another evening reception in October. We have a special treat planned for that occasion too. Stay tuned!

Breath Taking: Sheltering In Our Garden, is a photographic journey of my deepening relationship with nature during the long weeks and months ofthe pandemic.

In the 69 page companion book, all exhibition images are reproduced in full color on fine quality art paper. The garden images reflecting my emotional journey are enhanced by haiku and prose poem text written contemporaneously. The book is available at its publication cost to me in hardback ($50) and paperback ($35). Please contact me if interested in purchasing a copy.
