Companion catalogue

Breath Taking: Sheltering In Our Garden, is a photographic journey of my deepening relationship with nature during the long weeks and months ofthe pandemic.

In the 69 page companion book, all exhibition images are reproduced in full color on fine quality art paper. The garden images reflecting my emotional journey are enhanced by haiku and prose poem text written contemporaneously. The book is available at its publication cost to me in hardback ($50) and paperback ($35). Please contact me if interested in purchasing a copy.

A show! A show!

My first solo exhibition will open in three weeks in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Please save the date: Saturday, September 11, 2021, for the opening of my solo exhibition at the Mirella Cimato Gallery, St. Petersburg Opera. I’d love to have you join us at the artist reception from 5 to 8 p.m.

During the first hour, Jeanne Houlton, a master in the Ichiyo School of Ikebana, will interpret the emotional and seasonal journey of my visual and verbal haiku by demonstrating her mastery of the companion Japanese art of flower arranging.

Breath Taking: Sheltering In Our Garden, is a photographic journey of my deepening relationship with nature during the long weeks and months of the pandemic. My images are grounded in the belief that a garden is an emotional blessing; and, the camera is a contemplative instrument.

All images are made with Leica and Hasselblad digital cameras and lenses. They are refined in Lightroom; montages are created in Photoshop.  I share my work in these transformed times with the hope that it might offer a reflective path to transcendence.
